Biography
Early days
Jordi Geuens was born in 1985 in Antwerp, Belgium and has been touched by the magic of making music — in particular playing the drums — for as long as he can remember.
He studied at CODARTS in Rotterdam with the likes of Juan van Emmerloot, Hans Eijkenaar and Joost van Schaik.
Jordi has been a very active session player since graduating, playing all kinds of music, both in studio and live on stage.
He performed with many different artists like Postmen, Paul Michiels, Kate Ryan, Jef Neve, Soulsister, New Amsterdam Orchestra, Edsilia Rombley, Mira, Mo & Grazz, Novastar, and many more…
Selah Sue
From 2010 till 2017 Jordi was part of the band of Belgian phenomenon Selah Sue.
They played numerous concerts & festivals in Europe, USA, Canada, South America and Asia.
NHSP - New Hammond Sound Project
Besides his session work, Jordi started working together with Carlo de Wijs resulting in NHSP, the “New Hammond Sound Project”, where he not only acts as the drummer but also finding his way as a producer.
Present days
These days, Jordi plays drums for Metejoor, Rosa Butsi, Natalia, Zap Mama, NHSP, Sargam & JungleTrain.
Aside his regular bands, Jordi is an active session player, doing live and studio gigs for different artists. Hereby he had the chance to play with Kate Ryan, Tourist Le MC, Hayp Band, Cargo Mas, Xander de Buisonjé, Krystl, Candy Dulfer, Chaka Khan, etc.
